The Brass Spa practice mute is free blowing and does not back up in the lower and upper registers like other mutes on the market. The Brass Spa Practice Mute is made of a specially designed plastic with a cork ring to hold the mute in the bell. It plays in tune throughout the low and high register without de-tuning the horn. It has very little back pressure.
